Coats: 2 plus 2 thick coats of topcoat - to no avail.

Comments: Ugh. Franken-fail! Another one from my week of fascination with franken glitter. I think my polish to glitter ratio was all wrong here. I was trying to make it super blingy, and had too much of the glitter. This meant it applied really thick and dried to a crust almost instantly. Even topcoat couldn't salvage this chunky mess. I took it off immediately. LA Colors Color Craze - Live was used for the accent finger. I think I'll be wearing that on its own soon.
Liking the silver but the glitterstein does look ....er, curious.ReplyDelete
@jaljen: Lol! Yah, those are hideous crusties - from every angle. I want to show the good, bad, and ugly though, so here ya go!ReplyDelete
Maybe you're just ahead of the trend--next fall when OPI introduces chunky finish, you can say they stole your idea! :)ReplyDelete
I've had many franken fails! I know what you're talking about! I've had a creme franken turn into the consistency of salt water taffy. It was not salvageable! You made a really neat glitter thought it's too bad it didn't turn out right.ReplyDelete
Franken fails are so part of the game of frankening. Thanks for posting your attempts...I really respect that. I've posted a few fails myself at my blog. Some horrid stamping attempts, lol. I have yet to post the franken fail I did 2 weeks ago...but I will. Keep at it becuase when you hit that formula, its gonna feel fabulous!ReplyDelete
hehe chunky trend.. I can see that. I thought u can never have enough glitter... :-( boo I'm scared to franken w glitters now..ReplyDelete
I like Karen's idea, chunky finish trend! but seriously, count me out of frankening, it just scares me too much!ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness, I'm not trying to scare anyone from frankening! This is my first dud in my frankens so far. Just use my frankenpolish tag to find all my frankens so far.ReplyDelete
I'm still going to salvage this one too - will just add more polish to it - either clear or a shimmer, I haven't decided yet. I'll be sure to post though. Maybe I'll do it tonight.
It reminds me of that fake snow they put on plastic christmas trees! Keep it for your christmas decorations ;)ReplyDelete
It looks sugar coated :PReplyDelete
