Edited to fix title - Pure Ice (not Icing, sorry)
APPLICATION: Smooth, though I had to thin it after the 1st coat
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: After layering, yes
SOURCE: Golden Rose: goldenroseusa.com, Pure Ice: Walmart
COMMENTS: This was a good basic black that covered nicely in two coats. Mine was thick though, and because I didn't thin it until the second coat, I got bubbles in my first coat. That made it a fine candidate for layering! Seen below is the black with 1 coat of Pure Ice - Busted.
Golden Rose Care + Strong - 171 on its own - two coats, no topcoat:
I "played" with my index and ring finger the next day - the first with a coat of Barielle Elle's Spell and the second with a coat of Fashion Bug's Black Onyx. Middle and pinky are still sporting the original manicure.
This is so pretty!! Amazing what a sheer polish can do to black. I'm also enthralled by the finger with Fashion Bug's Black Onyx... is that silver glitter? White? I can't tell... but it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow...they are all just stunningly gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see more of the Black Onyx too...Busted in a fantastic polish for layering...looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI really like that pure ice polish and the ring finger looks great!
ReplyDelete@Maria and mrsrexy: Black Onyx is silver glitter in a darker base (I can't remember the base exactly). I'll try to wear it in the near future so you can see it.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I love layering over black, you can really see the shimmer better.
ReplyDeleteShazzam! They're all ... BEAUTIFUL. I'm a sucker for purple :D
ReplyDeleteOh that 171 is such a pretty color all on its own!!
ReplyDeletePure Ice Busted is one of my favorite layering polishes! Oddly enough I haven't done it over black. Must try!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's amazing! I love the black it's so shiny and then it's a perfect combination with the Pure Ice, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love Busted over black...and the playing around results are awesome...Index finger is really beautiful! Do you have a swatch of that color on its own?
