I'm not sure why I tend to pair red with blue like this, but I like it a lot.

COMMENTS | COMENTARIOS:
I felt like wearing a nail polish like this (jelly), but couldn't choose one, so I wore two at the same time! I used Fingerpaints - Paper Mache as the base for the dots so that the colors would show up better.
**  Me sentí como llevar un esmalte de uñas como este (jalea), pero no podría elegir uno, así que me puse dos al mismo tiempo! Usé Fingerpaints - Paper Mache como base para los puntos para que los colores se vean mejor.

Dollah Dollah Jellies Y'all!

APPLICATION: Lovely, though the orange was a bit too thick. I'll thin it next time I wear it.
COATS: 3 of each
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Nail supply store in Chinatown, downtown LA - I purchased these for $1 each when we went shopping during the LA MakeupAlley Nail Board meetup two weekends ago.
COMMENTS: I have a green and a blue jelly from Color Las Vegas (Mirage Cosmetics) and like them both. I decided to see what other jellies there were in the store where I originally purchased them and found these - From Left to right:
Color Las Vegas -Flamingo
Color Las Vegas -Monte Carlo
Color Las Vegas -M.G.M.
Color Las Vegas - New York
Paris - Acid (also mftd. by Mirage)

I love these! My favorites are the yellow (Acid) on my pinky and the pink (Flamingo) on my thumb. I ended up using Flamingo for my toenails with white polka dots over it.

A few more jelly-ish polishes

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 3 of the green, 2 of all others
TOPCOAT?: Yes, after first photo.
SOURCE: Dollar Tree and beauty supply stores
COMMENTS: I decided to try out some of my polishes that seemed to have a more translucent/jelly finish to them. Later, I practiced my stamping on them using American Apparel Hassid.

Color Las Vegas - Excalibur, Nabi - Blue Glitter, Nyx - Purple Ave

APPLICATION: Smooth on all
COATS: 3-level gradient in Excalibur, 1 each of Blue Glitter and Purple Ave
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Beauty supply stores in downtown Los Angeles
COMMENTS: When I swatched Excalibur and realized it was a blue jelly, I decided to try a gradient-style (some people call it syrup?) mani with it. I then topped it off with first Blue Glitter and finally added some flaky goodness with Purple Ave. For the record there are two Purple Ave colors in the Nyx brand - this is the one with the larger flakes in a purple base. Finished it off with the same rhinestones I used in the last mani - yes, I just cleaned them  in acetone and reused them!

**My skin appears two different colors in these photos. That's because I switched between camera modes to capture the color most accurately.
