ABOP Frankens = Velvet Glitter + Clear nail polish

COMMENTS | COMENTARIOS:
I had a busy week and was too lazy to post, sorry!
Anyway, here is a glitter mixture I made using some "velvet" glitter from the craft store. The colors changed but are still interesting. The one with more clear nail polish and less glitter was much easier to apply.

  1. I was thinking about buying some cosmetic grade glitter this afternoon for this very reason and I'm so glad that you have posted this. Looks great! I did something similar when I created my own Frankenpolish and I posted the results on my blog. Would love it if you would take a look and let me know what you think.

    1. Isn't mixing your own colors fun? I use all sorts of glitters, from cosmetic-grade to craft store finds. Also, instead of mixing a whole bottle, sometimes I'll mix just enough for one manicure. I might have to do another blog post about that now that I know how to video!

  2. I like the green! I did get some glitters at Michael's that bled a bit but still kept the color for the most part. The pink/red is very pretty, as well...but I adore green, lol!

  5. These are gorgeous!! I'll have to do a video on how I mix up single-use polish batches for my nails. You end up with less shifting of the glitter colors that way, and save your polish for more frankens! :D

    1. I'd love to see how to mix up a single-use batch, Laynie! I've thought of doing that in a dappen dish, but am not sure how to prevent it from drying out quickly during the manicure... Ooh, I just got an idea! Maybe if I use a dappen dish with a lid!
Either way, I'd love to see how you do it. You have some awesome ideas!
