Sinful Colors - Nail Junkie (and my first vid!)

APPLICATION: Thick but controllable.
COATS: 1 over I coat of Diamond Cosmetics - Don't Teal My Heart Away
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Walgreens
COMMENTS: You didn't think that after my last few manicures I'd wear the teal color alone, did you? This was what I had in mind, and it's blinging gorgeous. Make sure to click on the picture taken in the shade to enlarge and see the goodies in this.
I created a short video to show the sparklies too (see end of post).

The video:

Diamond Cosmetics - Don't Teal My Heart Away

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 1
TOPCOAT?: No
SOURCE: www.diamondcosmetics.com
COMMENTS: Another beauty from Diamond Cosmetics, I've had Don't Teal My Heart Away for a while but hadn't worn it as a full mani yet - just as an accent here. I'm liking that if I'm careful I can put these on in one coat without bubbles or gloopiness (is that a word?)

Sunsetting the mani with Hidden Treasure

I'm on my third day of this gorgeous manicure, and want a change, though I'm sad to see it go. Just for kicks, I decided to throw something over it. My pinkie has Wet N Wild - Hallucinate on it, but all other fingers have a coat of Sally Hansen - Hidden Treasure. It turns the Diamond Cosmetics mani, especially the main color - Sunset in Sedona, into glowing embers - gorgeous!

Alright, off to wash some dishes and do a bit of cleaning and then decide what color to wear next.

Diamond Cosmetics - Sunset in Sedona, Tropical Dream, Raging Orange

APPLICATION: Smooth on all three.
COATS: 1 of each
TOPCOAT?: Yes (not right away, after I felt the dots had dried completely)
SOURCE: http://www.diamondcosmetics.com/
COMMENTS: I was thrilled to get great color coverage with just one coat of Sunset in Sedona, a gorgeous rich burnt orange color from the fall line. This was the mani I wanted to do two days ago. It's gorgeous for the fall, and I can't stop looking at my nails!

Sally Hansen - Sheer Strawberry, Love My Nails - Mauve Shimmer

APPLICATION: Sheer Strawberry was streaky, Mauve Shimmer was smooth.
COATS: 2 of Sheer Strawberry - the base for this mani, 1 of Mauve Shimmer - the accent.
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Target and Walmart respectively
COMMENTS: I  really wanted to do this mani in fall colors, since I just received some polishes I bought from Diamond Cosmetics. However, my hubby wanted me to wear something light (which to him is things like lavender, light blue, pastels, etc), so I went the pink route. I'm still loving the dots as you can see!

And because I'm one who gets easily bored...

COMMENTS: I loved my mani. But I was itching to change my color! I compromised by playing around with it. I used some LA Colors minis that I also found at the Dollar tree. These are in packs of two with a toe separator. I'm lovin' the outcome! Maybe now I'll wear this for one more day... but wait, let's add more dots! (last two pics) Mwahahaha!

LA Colors - Live and Black Velvet

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Dollar Tree
COMMENTS: Blingalinga! Why did I wait so long to do a full mani with silver/chrome polish? I love this - especially after I got happy with the dotting tool.  I'm sure someone else has done this mani, but I can't remember who my inspiration was. All I know is I love it! I think I need to stick to using my dotting tools because I still get really frustrated with stamping and stenciling. Dots are quick and easy.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - Trendy Creme

APPLICATION: Watery first coat, smooth second.
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: My stash of polish from way back when.
COMMENTS: I wanted to wear one of my older Sally Hansens, and in a non-traditional color (aka ugly awesome color). It took me a while to choose, but I settled on this military-ish green.  I love the color, and wonder how close this is to the new Chanel Khaki Vert?

Mystery Polish

APPLICATION: Watery first coat, otherwise smooth.
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: I can't remember, over 10 yrs ago!
COMMENTS: This bottle has no markings  whatsoever to indicate brand or polish name. I do know that I bought it because I wanted a backup blue polish for one a friend gave me in college. Other than that I don't remember much about it. Didn't stop me from wearing it though! It has a pretty subtle green shimmer.  I put a layer of Savvy - Prince Ala Charm on my ring finger and thumb. It just adds additional shimmer.

Finger Paints - You Hue!

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Sally Beauty Supply
COMMENTS: I saw the gold shimmer in this, and it made me think of Zoya - Reece, which I've had out in my "want to wear sometime soon" batch of polish. You Hue! doesn't have as much shimmer in the bottle as Reece does, but it's a pretty, church-appropriate color nonetheless.
