This was such a fun manicure! The stamped design and topcoat really transformed it. On the second day I added dots with my neon gel pens.

I planned this combination but ended up not liking the glitter on just the tips. Easy to fix - I used it on the whole nail!

When I saw it in the set, this orange polish looked like a nice, somewhat muted color. As soon as I put it on - wow, it's neon!
**  Cuando lo vi en el conjunto, este esmalte naranja parecía un color agradable, algo menos intensa. Tan pronto como me lo puse - wow, es neón!

This polish was awful to apply!  It looked so pretty in the bottle, but after suffering through three coats I decided I didn't like it and removed it as soon as I had taken the photos.
**  Este esmalte fue horrible para aplicar! Se veía tan bonita en la botella, pero después de sufrir a través de tres capas, decidí que no me gustó y se lo quitó tan pronto como había tomado las fotos.

I really like the polish in these sets(sold in sets of 7 different colors usually at Ross and Burlington Coat factory for about $6), and since I have so many unworn, I decided to use just the blue ones from some of them for a manicure.
**  Me gusta mucho el esmalte de estos grupos (se venden en grupos de 7 colores diferentes, por lo general en las tiendas Ross y Burlington Coat Factory por alrededor de $6), y ya que tengo sin usar tantos, decidí usar sólo las de color azul de algunos de ellos por un manicura.

Bettina - Peppermint vs. Simple Pleasures - Unnamed blue (T)

APPLICATION: Smooth on both, the Simple Pleasures polish had a few tiny black flecks in it though (I think from mixing balls that are disintegrating)

SOURCE: Bettina came from a swap with the lovely Jossie in Puerto Rico, (blog: PinkBeauty), and the Simple Pleasures from Ross in a set of 7 polishes.
COMMENTS: I got a ton of gorgeous Bettinas from Jossie, and was itching to try one out. I noticed that in the bottle these two looked very similar, so I figured I would wear them in the same manicure. The photos show the difference. The  Simple Pleasures polish is on my thumb and ring fingernails.

COMMENTS: This is a pretty color from one of the MANY Simple Pleasures polishes I've acquired (why do they have so many sets? I love sets and just can't resist!). I didn't want to  commit to full color, so did just tips over my base coat.

Then I decided to add some matching glitter at the edge courtesy of Sally Hansen - Planetary.

Just as an aside - I've had this glitter (and quite a few like it) since it came out. On the back it's dated 1999, which makes sense because by then I was out of college and working at my first job.
Anyway, back on topic - I then added a layer of Ruby Kisses Madmoiselle:

And  finally a layer of  Love My Nails - Dazzling

The final look is okay.  My husband liked it a lot because he likes being able to see my bare nail for a change. I of course keep noticing my stained nails...
