COMMENTS: As much as I liked this color, it was a bit dark on me, so needed some extra color. I knew I wanted the orange, but the idea for the dots came after I had put on the orange. The additions really brightened it up!
And because some of you asked for a tutorial on my last taped chevron mani, I took some extra photos. Scotch tape below:
Taped off the section:
Painted on the orange:
After removing the tape - not very pretty, but topcoat will smooth it all out:
All taped up and done:
Added two dots, one inside the other. For some reason I couldn't find my dotting tools, so I just used a toothpick - one of those with a rounded side and just one pointy tip. I used the rounded side for the larger dot and the tip for the smaller one.:
And finally, a nice thick coat of topcoat:

Salon Perfect - Olive
APPLICATION: First coat streaky, second coat smooth.
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: See photos

COMMENTS: I stumbled upon this display while visiting a Walmart in another city. I'd never seen the brand before, so decided to try a bottle. The brush was smaller than I'm used to, so it took a few minutes to get comfortable with it. This turned out to be a fabulous color, and although I'm sure I have a dupe in my collection, it's one of my favorite hues, so I don't mind.
2 coats, no topcoat:
Here is the display in Walmart. It advertises the crackle, which are the ones with the white sticker on the top, but the rest are cremes:
With topcoat:
In sunlight through the window:
Has anyone else seen or tried this brand? I'm tempted to try one of the metallic crackles next time I'm in that area...
