COMMENTS | COMENTARIOS:

I absolutely loved this manicure! I always like seeing many colors together/at one time, so this made me smile whenever I looked at my nails. (This also explains my weakness for nail polish in sets, haha!)

** Me encantó este manicura! Siempre me gusta ver muchos colores juntos / al mismo tiempo, por lo que me hizo sonreír cada vez que miraba las uñas. (Esto explica también mi debilidad por el esmalte de uñas en juegos, jaja!)

COMMENTS | COMENTARIOS:

I rediscovered this purple glitter while going through some of my Color Club lacquers, so chose to do a manicure with it. I used a similar base color and decided to make an accent nail with the Sinful colors glitter.
** Redescubrí este brillo morado al pasar por algunos de mis esmaltes Color Club, por lo que optó por hacer una manicura con él. Usé una base de color similar y decidió hacer una uña acento con el brillo de Sinful Colors.

Quirius - Melange a quatre!

APPLICATION: The white base (LA Colors Color Craze - Energy Source) was streaky and difficult to put on.
COATS: 2 of Energy Source, 2 sponged Quirius layers
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: LA Colors from Dollar Tree, Quirius from the QRS website - www.qnail.com/shop
COMMENTS: Yes, I know, the title doesn't include any of the Quirius polish names, but I'll let you know what they are below. First of all, I got this idea from this wonderful post on luuthienluv blog. She does such amazing nail art, and includes step-by-step photos. I got a little overzealous with the sponging on my index finger, and overlapped a bit too much, lol!

The sponging was super easy to do, and was done on Saturday night. I stamped over it on Sunday evening and am still wearing this manicure with just the tiniest bit of tip wear on my index fingers now. As usual, it's not perfect, but I'm loving it!

Started with white:

Sponged on Quirius  Caribbean Turquoise, News of the Beloved, Cruiser, and Erin Island

Artificial lighting - Saturday night:

Outdoors in sunlight - Sunday:

Stamped and added dots to fill the blank spaces - not the prettiest, but okay!

Quirius - Erin Island

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: No
SOURCE: QRS online store (http://www.qnail.com/shop/)
COMMENTS: I had to go back and edit this post because I mislabeled the Quirius polish in it. This is the real Erin Island. No nail art, just a swatch, sorry!

Will the Real DS Original please stand up?

FEATURING: OPI - DS Original, Sally Hansen Prisms - Pink Rose Diamond (lighter version), Ulta - Celebutante, Quirius - News of the Beloved
COATS: See final photo with answers
TOPCOAT?: No
COMMENTS: I looked at these two holo polishes in the sun and realized they're both almost equally holo. So I set about the challenge of using the Sally Hansen to layer a DS-Original lookalike. One of them comes close - especially at certain angles! What do you think?

Kleancolor - Vikini Green and Quirius - Erin Island

**Sorry, had to edit this post because I gave the wrong name for the polish I sponged on the tips. It's Quirius - Belmont Garden.

APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2 of Vikini Green (is that supposed to be Bikini? The label has Vikini), Erin Island Belmont Garden sponged on tips
TOPCOAT?: Yes, 1 coat of Beauty Secrets Fast Finish
SOURCE: Local discount clothing store and www.qnail.com respectively
COMMENTS: I knew I was in trouble when I tried to take a photograph of the base color and my camera threw a fit. Then I tried to take one of the bottles together and the camera saw them as the same exact color! I tried to get this as close as I can, but these colors are both just a little on the neon side of the spectrum. So, no bottle pics, sorry.

Indoors - had to change camera settings:

Natural light at work the next morning - still had issues, the best photos I could manage are of my mani reflected in the window! The colors are more vibrant in real life. I'm sad I couldn't show them well.

Quirius - Coral Reef

APPLICATION: A little difficult - first coat was prone to bald spots if I didn't work quickly enough. 2nd coat was thick but had good coverage.
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: http://www.qnail.com/shop/

COMMENTS: I often looked at the pretty colors on the web site, but didn't feel the urge to buy any until Jaljen(http://nailpolishuk.blogspot.com/) started showing some of hers. This is a gorgeous neutral that I'm liking a lot more than I thought I would. Of course I'm itching to put some kind of nail art on it, and it looks gorgeous next to the bottle of Kleancolor - Brown, but I haven't decided what to do with it yet (if anything).

In the shade

Later added dots on the tips with Kleancolor - Brown
