Icing - Turq Me Away
APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Yes
SOURCE: Icing store at the mall.
COMMENTS: Icing and Claire's really are great sources for nail polish on clearance, and I have many from them. I picked this one up recently while grabbing a particular bottle for someone (Hi Jossie!). It was $2 and too beautiful to resist. The name implies it's a turquoise. I call it a teal. Color descriptions aren't my strength though, and my photos are showing it a bit blue-er than real life, so I'll just leave it at that.
I didn't have much time, so just added a topcoat of my first flakie franken for interest.

Icing - Unnamed blue mini
APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Only after application of laser lace - Beauty Secrets Fast Finish, extra layer of topcoat on accent nails.
SOURCE: Icing store in the mall - part of a five pack of minis.
COMMENTS: I've finally used each polish in the set for a full manicure! Gorgeous blue! I wasn't sure what to do for nail art so I decided to try out some silver laser lace from dollarnailart.com. The laser lace is delicate, but not too difficult to use for the simple application I did. It's not entirely silver, there are iridescent blue and green threads running under the silver ones. I'd love to try this for full nail application sometime, but that would be a chore!
UP NEXT: Plain french manicure with Diamond Cosmetics - White

Icing - Unnamed coral mini
APPLICATION: Smooth
COATS: 2
TOPCOAT?: Before adding rub-ons - No, after adding rub-ons - yes, 1 coat of CND Air Dry
SOURCE: Icing store in the mall, part of a set of five minis.
COMMENTS: I ended up wearing the green with leaves until Sunday evening! As lovely as this next coral color is, I was surprised at how neon it looked on my nails. It was bright! My nails actually looked like plastic, so to tone it down I added some random rub-ons. Kinda blah, this looked better as a solid color but it was good enough for one day.
UP NEXT: The darker blue from the same set (finally!) - bottle no. 2 below:

Tags... and the mani on days 3 - 4
I've received quite a few blogger tags/awards from some of you lovely ladies in both the far and recent past. I usually don't mention them, but wanted to dedicate a moment...
I APPRECIATE THE TAGS - I really do - so thank you to all of you who have passed them on to me! However, I very much like posting what, when, and how I want. That means I'm not inclined to dedicate time to tag posts because - I just don't feel like it...
And... here's how my last mani is holding up. I did this on Tuesday night and it's now Saturday morning, so entering day 4. I'll be changing it sometime today.
The first photo shows the fingers with the most tip wear. This and the next photo were taken last night:
Still looks intact though. Here are photos from this morning - in early morning sunlight through the window:
