I had recently heard of a topcoat that works over nail foils without destroying them (Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener) and I wanted to give it a try. It worked well! The nail foils still didn't last very long though, so it will need more topcoat next time.

All of these polishes except for the Bettina are recent purchases. I wanted to compare them as well as put them together for a calming manicure. I think I succeeded - especially after applying the matte topcoat!

At first I didn't like that the larger glitter in this nail polish was silver. Now I like it a lot!  Since this is a very yellow color I did just the tips - it would have been overwhelming on the full nail.

Here is my new favorite base coat (Beauty Secrets Hardener). It's not supposed to be used as a base coat, but I like it because it does a better job at preventing staining for me. I used one coat before the glitter, a second coat after the glitter, and then one final layer of my top coat.
