My Patriotic Mani

Comments: Viva Mexico! Yes, I was watching the first game of the world cup while I did this. I'm rooting for three countries - Mexico, US, and Nigeria in this World Cup since all three play a part in who I am. Encouraged by this post from Polished Girl, I decided to try using acrylic paints for the art. Oh my! They're so much easier to work with than polish! I also managed to spill the cup of water I was using for this, and I would not have been a happy camper if it had been a cup of acetone!

So here it is: the flags (and striped index finger) were done with acrylic paint, striper brush, and dotting tools. I also submitted this to Polish Hoarder's design challenge for this week.

Then I finished off my thumb and right hand with nail polish striper colors.

Here's my setup - minus the spilled cup of water. Strangely enough, I was so occupied by my nails that I managed to miss the one goal by Mexico!
